WHAT I WORK ON
Four things I'm genuinely good at, and I go deepest on the first one. Technical SEO and creative production aren't on this list on purpose. I brief those out rather than pretend.
1. Performance Marketing
Meta and Google campaign strategy, build and daily optimisation
Budget pacing, scaling decisions, and knowing when to stop
Audience, offer and creative testing
Working out which platform is over-claiming the conversion
2. Ecommerce growth
Shopify structure, product pages and merchandising
Bundle and pricing strategy
Conversion research and funnel diagnosis
Amazon listings, browse nodes and marketplace setup
3. MEASUREMENT
GA4, Looker Studio and platform reporting
Blended MER against platform-reported ROAS
Custom dashboards and automated reporting
Postmortems on the campaigns that didn't work
4. Build & Automation
Reporting tools in Node.js when the platform won't do it
Shopify and Framer builds
Lifecycle email and CRM automation
Customer research, including AI-driven shopper simulation

About
Hi, I'm Mike. A marketing alchemist based in Melbourne. I run paid media and ecommerce for a nursery furniture brand here, and I built the dashboard they report on. My favourite part of the job is the bit where you find out you were wrong.

Featured Projects
Different industries, different problems, wildly different budgets. Two of these came from jobs, two from my Masters at RMIT, and they're labelled so you know which is which. Every number came off a platform export.

Full Stack Marketing
Cocoon Furniture
Twenty years selling through retailers, no direct-to-consumer channel, and a Shopify store that had never taken an order. We launched it in July 2025 and grew it from $12,425 to $121,564 a month inside eleven months.

Academic Work
Uber - CX Design
Older Australians were opting out of Uber, and no app update was going to fix it. I ran primary research across interviews, ethnography and eight Reddit communities. Two solutions designed from scratch, prototyped and tested with real users.

Academic Work
Universal Store
Universal Store was competing everywhere and owning nothing in particular. I recommended narrowing the audience and activating it through three tactics designed to work as one system rather than three campaigns.

Performance Marketing
PLUSH
Prince didn't have a broken account. He had one that was working and wanted more. Six months: monthly revenue up 25%, Amazon ROI from 4.67 to 5.25, and a quick-commerce channel built from zero that nobody in the business had run before.
The Proof
The relationships I build through this work matter as much as the results. Every name here is someone I showed up for beyond the brief and whose growth I still take personally.
I've worked with a lot of people over 20 years. Mayank runs our marketing like he owns the outcome. We had no online business when he started. It's now our biggest growth channel, and he still tells me when I'm wrong.

Mark Joseph
Founder - Cocoon Furniture
Mayank willingly jumps into challenges that promise discomfort. Coachable, self-motivated, confident. The future of marketing is brighter with him.

Michael Drohan
Marketing Director & Mentor
Launched Cocoon's D2C channel from nothing.

Meta ROAS, from 3.2x
No ecommerce background. Running client accounts end-to-end within weeks. A lot of people can execute. Fewer can own something. Mayank owns it.

Rushab Luhade
Co-Founder, RevBoosters
Rare to find someone who thinks strategy and executes. He asked the right questions before touching anything. What he built reflected that.

Good Questions
Questions I get asked a lot, and a couple I wish I got asked more.
1.
WHY DO YOU LOOK AT BLENDED MER INSTEAD OF ROAS?
2.
HOW DO YOU APPROACH SOMETHING THAT ISN'T WORKING?
3.
WHAT ACTUALLY MOVES THE NEEDLE ON A NEW D2C CHANNEL?
4.
HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHERE THE NEXT DOLLAR GOES?
5.
WHAT'S THE MOST COMMON MISTAKE YOU SEE IN PAID MEDIA ACCOUNTS?
6.
WHEN DO YOU KILL A CAMPAIGN?
